MULTIFOCAL

During the course of your cataract surgery, your natural lens, which has become cloudy, is extracted and substituted with a new implantable intraocular lens (IOL). The advancements in IOL technology have introduced the option for patients to choose from various multifocal IOLs that address vision correction across all ranges – distant, near, and points in between. These lenses not only reinstate and enhance patients’ vision but also diminish their reliance on glasses. These products are recognized under the names PanOptix® IOL, PanOptix Toric IOL, Synergy IOL, and Synergy Toric IOL.

The PanOptix IOL facilitates exceptional distance, intermediate, and practical near vision due to pioneering technology. This specific technology endows the PanOptix lens with a spectrum of vision within a single lens. The PanOptix trifocal lens was formulated using Optical Technology, which heightens intermediate vision while preserving the quality of near and distance vision.

Before obtaining FDA approval within the United States, the PanOptix lens already served as the leading lens technology for cataract patients in more than 70 countries. Designed explicitly to address astigmatism, the PanOptix Toric lens provides a targeted solution. It’s important to note that complete freedom from glasses is not guaranteed, particularly for tasks involving small text reading. Most patients, however, attain clear, sharp vision for distances and intermediate activities (such as computer work) across varying lighting conditions.
